Our Back2School Block Party is a FREE community event to help parents prepare, protect and inspire your child for the coming school year! Participating students will receive a free book bag from Healthy Blue South Carolina as well as additional school supplies and resources from our corporate and community partners.
In compliance with guidelines regarding mass gatherings, this year's event will be held as a DRIVE-THROUGH event. While we are not able to hold our health and wellness event inside, we will be offering a Virtual Health Fair for families. Please visit this website for updates and follow us on our Facebook page!
REGISTER YOUR STUDENTS NOW!
You may request book bags for up to 5 children. If you need book bags for additional children in your family, please submit another request.
Select your book bag pick up time. All bags not claimed by 2:00pm will be distributed through confirmed community partners.
PLEASE NOTE - IMPORTANT PARTICIPATION INFORMATION:
Facial coverings or masks will be REQUIRED to be worn by all volunteers and event participants. If you do not have a face mask, a disposable mask will be provided while you are at the event.
All participants will need to remain in their cars while in the pick-up line. Special accommodations will be made for those parents/guardians arriving via MyRide bus. If your transportation plans change, please let us know.
Children do NOT have to be present to claim a book bag.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGES TO THIS YEAR'S EVENT!
In consideration of health and safety guidelines through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), SC DHEC and AccelerateSC, this year's Back2School Block Party will be held as a special DRIVE-THROUGH event.
Thanks to the generosity of Healthy Blue South Carolina, we will have 2,000 book bags to distribute to local students in need.
How can you help?
Since we will not be able to hold our event inside - where students and parents can collect extra supplies and resources - we will be pre-stuffing back packs and event bags in advance.
Corporate and individual contributions are needed to help fund the basic school supply kits for these students.

EVENT NUTRITIONAL STATEMENT:
The Heart2Heart Foundation is committed to creating a healthy environment for those who attend our programs and events. To reinforce this commitment, we have adopted the healthy meeting guidelines developed by the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity (NANA). These guidelines include offering water and other no-calorie beverages, serving nutritious snacks, providing physical activity breaks for meetings lasting longer than one hour, considering sustainability whenever possible, minimizing sugary treats, and ensuring meetings are held in smoke-free facilities. Creating a culture of health at our meetings and events is an important way to help set a positive example in our community and state.
