A FREE event to help you prepare, protect and inspire your child for the coming school year! Brought to you by The Heart2Heart Foundation in collaboration with the Rock Hill School District, Rock Hill Galleria and our wonderful community and corporate partners.

A big thanks to everyone who participated in our 2019 Back2School Block Party!

Thanks to the generosity of Healthy Blue of South Carolina, we distributed book bags to 2,000 students through our event and our community partners!

  • School supplies donated by Delta Sigma Theta and our community partners

  • Free Dental Screenings provided by Dr. Harvey Spencer of A Healthy Smile and the Colgate Dental Van provided for 221 kids 

  • Heart Health Screenings:  58 adults received biometric screenings provided by People's First Wellness, Piedmont Medical Center, North Central Family Medical Center and York County Free Clinic

  • Child IDs – 272 children received free Indent-a-Kid cards

  • Tega Cay Lions Club provided 196 free vision screenings

  • 500 children (age 5 & under) received free books from Early Learning Partnership and ParentSMART

  • Over 450 kids/adults received free souvenir photos from On the Spot Photos

  • 196 kids received free mini meals from Showmars

  • 30 kids/adults won door prizes

  • 2 kids won the gift cards from Wal-mart & Target ($100 each)

EVENT NUTRITIONAL STATEMENT:

The Heart2Heart Foundation is committed to creating a healthy environment for those who attend our programs and events.  To reinforce this commitment, we have adopted the healthy meeting guidelines developed by the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity (NANA). These guidelines include offering water and other no-calorie beverages, serving nutritious snacks, providing physical activity breaks for meetings lasting longer than one hour, considering sustainability whenever possible, minimizing sugary treats, and ensuring meetings are held in smoke-free facilities. Creating a culture of health at our meetings and events is an important way to help set a positive example in our community and state.

The information you provide is confidential and will be used to help us plan our community heart health education screening programs. Thank you for participating. NOTE: Registration for this event automatically enrolls you for our free email newsletter. Opt-out instructions are available in each email.
