I registered for book bags, what do I do next?
If you registered your child/children for a book bag(s), you should have received a confirmation email from us. Please check your JUNK folder to make sure it isn't there before contacting us. If you still don't have it, please email us and we will resend the confirmation to you. We do have a Master List and will be able to verify your request.
Is my child required to attend the event to receive a book bag?
Typically, we require the students to be present to receive the book bags however, considering the continued spread of COVID-19, we realize that parents need to decide whether or not a large public event is suitable for their family. For our 2022 event, the students do not have to attend.
Where do I pick up my book bag order?
A week prior to the event, you will receive an email from us giving you the location where you can pick up your bag(s). It will confirm your order and pick-up time. Please bring a copy of your confirmation email with you; it's fine to have it available on your phone, too.
Why do you require registration for book bags?
The short answer is because we want to make sure that each family waiting in line at our event for a book bag receives one. We don't want parents and guardians standing in line to reach our distribution table only to be told "we're out of book bags" because it was "first-come, first-served" and the supplies ran out.
Thanks to Healthy Blue South Carolina, our Companies with Heart sponsors and school supply donors, we are able to hand out at least 2,000 book bags with supplies each year. If you are on our Back2School Parent Email Newsletter list, you will get an early bird date to register for the next year. We typically open the registration to the general public by July 1st.
